(she/her)
I am a Korean American adoptee who arrived in the United States at eight months old and I've lived in Grand Rapids ever since. I have worked in the mental health field since 2013 and earned my Master of Social Work degree from Grand Valley State University in 2017.
When I'm not in the office, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, spoiling my dog and cat, soaking up sunshine outdoors, listening to music, or binging a TV show.
I approach therapy as a process of growth that isn’t linear or rushed. Sometimes it’s messy, sometimes it’s slow, and often it requires patience and honesty. It may look different depending on who you are and the systems you move through. The goal isn’t to fix or change someone, but to create space for insight, flexibility, and movement that feels more aligned with who they are and where they want to go.
I aim to provide therapy that is ethical, respectful, and affirming of diverse identities, including all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions. I value transparency and collaboration in my work, and I try to be thoughtful about access, practical barriers, and clarity around services and fees.
