The standard session fee for therapy services is $175 per one hour session. This fee applies to both intake sessions and ongoing therapy sessions. Session length and frequency are determined collaboratively based on clinical needs and may change over time.
Clients who are uninsured or choosing to self-pay have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges for services. A Good Faith Estimate can be provided upon request prior to starting services.
I am able to accept the following insurance plans through Headway:
Aetna
Blue Cross Blue Shield
Cigna
Priority Health
I also accept Michigan Medicaid (independently from Headway).
Please note: Secondary insurance claims to Medicaid cannot be processed through Headway. Clients who have Medicaid as a secondary insurance would need to use primary insurance only if services are billed through Headway.
This practice offers a limited sliding scale in an effort to support access to care while maintaining a sustainable practice.
Sliding scale rates are based on financial flexibility, rather than income alone. Financial flexibility may be influenced by many factors, including (but not limited to) housing costs, debt, dependents, medical expenses, access to savings, and other financial obligations.
Clients are invited to select a rate within the established range that best reflects their current circumstances.
Sliding scale range: $85–$200
Sliding scale availability is limited and may not be available at all times.
Sliding scale rates are selected collaboratively and may be revisited over time if circumstances change. You are not asked to provide documentation or justification when selecting a rate. Rate reviews may occur periodically or at the request of the client or provider.
Selecting a sliding scale rate does not affect the quality, length, or type of services provided.
The following categories are offered as guides, not requirements. You may choose a rate within or between ranges that feels sustainable.
This range may be a good fit if:
Meeting basic needs is currently difficult
There is significant financial strain, debt, or limited income
Financial support or savings are limited
Paying the standard fee would create hardship
This range may be a good fit if:
Basic needs are met, but budgeting is necessary
Discretionary income or savings are limited
Financial stress is present but manageable
This range may be a good fit if:
Basic needs are met comfortably
There is some financial flexibility or savings
Paying the standard fee does not create significant strain
This rate is for clients who are able and interested in paying above the standard fee in order to help support the availability of lower-fee sessions for others.
Selecting this rate is optional and based on personal choice.
